Tiny Away ventures into the European market, launching a series of tiny houses across Italy, Spain, France, and Sweden.
Tiny Away, one of Australia & New Zealand’s largest tiny house accommodation companies, has planted its first tiny houses in Europe, launching eight houses across Italy, Spain, France, and Sweden. Ranging from the hills of Tuscany to the lakes of rural Sweden, the new tiny houses offer guests the opportunity to experience lesser-known rural locales across the continent.
“We are beyond excited to have launched the brand in Europe. We know that Australians have a passion for travelling to countries all over Europe, and these new houses offer a unique way to see some amazing countryside and rural towns during their travels,” said Tiny Away co-founder Jeff Yeo.
The sustainably built tiny houses allow guests to rest and enjoy comfortable accommodation with all the modern must-haves including split cycle air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and a bathroom with hand basin and gas heated shower.
“Tiny house stays are a growing tourism movement around the world and ecotourism experiences are increasingly valued by travellers. Small and sustainable accommodation options like our tiny houses help entice more people out of the cities to experience and connect with the natural wonders while treading lightly on the ecosystems and communities they visit.
“These new houses are just the start of some big plans we have across Europe, with more tiny house locations across the continent to come soon,” he added. The new houses include:
Dolce Casa, Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy
Dolce Casa is located in the hamlet of Rigutino, close to the Tuscan city of Arezzo. Set in the rolling hills of the Val di Chiana, the house’s front garden area is surrounded by lush greenery offering views of the stunning surroundings.
Rigutino has an impressive Gothic-style stone cathedral built in the 11th century. Though small, there is a restaurant and pizzeria, along with a handful of coffee bars and a pastry shop in town. Arezzo, Lago Trasimeno, Parco di Lignano, and Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi are just a few of the nearby attractions.
La Vista Huma, Alora, Malaga, Spain
La Vista Huma is located in the town of Alora, in the beautiful coastal province of Malaga in southern Spain. The tiny house sits in an olive orchard with a view of Sierra de la Huma. Guests have access to the property’s olive orchard, cactus garden, and a pool area.
Guests can also take a short hike on the property’s mountain trail or enjoy one of the hiking trails in the nearby Sierra de las Nieves National Park. Centro Commercial La Verónica, Las Angosturas, and Restaurante Caminito Del Rey are just a few of the nearby attractions in the area.
